At Churchfields Family Services we want everyone — parents, children, staff and visitors — to feel safe, respected and supported during their stay. To help create a positive environment for all, the following rules and expectations apply.
Respectful Behaviour
Families, children, staff and visitors are expected to treat everyone with respect. Violence, threats, intimidation, discriminatory language or behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated.
Alcohol, Smoking & Substances
The use of alcohol on the premises is not permitted. Smoking is only allowed in designated outdoor areas. Illegal substances are strictly prohibited, and families must not bring them onto the centre’s grounds.
Medication and Health
Any medication brought to Churchfields must be declared to staff on arrival. Staff will support safe storage and administration where required, and families should inform staff of any health conditions that may need attention.
Parental Responsibility & Supervision
Parents and carers are responsible for supervising their children at all times. Children should not be left unattended in private or shared spaces.
Privacy & Visitors
Families should respect others’ privacy. Visits from friends or family members must be agreed in advance with staff and in line with guidance from the referring professional.
Safety & Fire Procedures
For everyone’s safety, families must follow fire regulations and evacuation procedures. Fire exits must be kept clear and drills must be taken seriously.
Use of Shared Spaces
Shared areas and facilities (such as communal rooms, kitchen and outdoor spaces) should be used respectfully. Families are expected to leave these areas tidy after use and follow any safety guidance provided.
Consequences of Rule Breaches
If rules are not followed, staff will discuss concerns with the family and their referring professional. In cases of serious or repeated breaches, it may be necessary to review continued placement at Churchfields.
